Industrial-Grade Heat-Shrinkable Sleeves Designed for Your Operation

Fluoron offers three specialized sleeve materials—each engineered to solve unique challenges and extend roller life:

  • Fluoro-Clear (FEP) – Transparent, seamless, easy to inspect
  • Fluoro-Flex (PFA) – High wear resistance, flexible performance
  • Fluoro-Stat (PTFE) – Maximum chemical resistance with conductive anti-static control and 10x the wear resistance of FEP

Explore the Materials

Fluoro-Clear (FEP) Sleeves

  • Transparent for easy inspection of adhesive bonding and air pockets
  • Commonly available in 0.020” (0.5 mm) and 0.060” (1.5 mm) thickness
  • Seamless sleeves for rollers up to 18” in diameter
  • Ideal for low-wear applications such as conveyor rollers and guide rollers

Fluoro-Flex (PFA) Sleeves

  • Higher wear resistance than FEP, with greater toughness
  • Withstands higher continuous operating temperatures
  • Engineered for medium-wear environments, these sleeves deliver longer service life with exceptional flexibility—reducing stress cracking and making them ideal for rubber nip rollers.
  • Excellent choice for packaging, converting, and processing lines

Fluoro-Stat (PTFE) Sleeves

  • The most chemically resistant material available, this cover combines unmatched wear resistance and full conductivity. Scientifically proven to deliver 10x the wear resistance of traditional covers, it’s the longest-lasting solution on the market.
  • Outstanding nonstick performance across harsh environments
  • Controls static discharge to protect processes and materials
  • Best for high-wear, high-heat, or chemically aggressive applications

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What size rollers can you cover?

Fluoro–Clear (FEP) and Fluoro–Flex (PFA) offers seamless sleeves up to 18”.  Larger OD sleeves are possible and will have a smooth finished seam.  Fluoro–Stat (PTFE) starts at 4” and up.  All Fluoro–Stat sleeves will have a smooth finished seam.

  • What types of rollers can be covered?

Metal, aluminum, rubber in any position; spreader, nip, felt, dryer cylinders

  • What are the operating temperatures?

Fluoro–Clear (FEP) can run up to 350F, Fluoro–Flex (PFA) at 400F and Fluoro–Stat (PTFE) at 400F

  • Who installs the sleeves?

Fluoron offers installations on-site or in our shop.  Once trained by Fluoron, customers can complete installations themselves.

  • What industries utilize nonstick sleeves?

Pulp and paper, printing, film converters, laminators, rubber rollers

  • How long will they last?

It varies based on the operating conditions and sleeve material.  Under ideal conditions, an FEP sleeve could be serviceable for 12 – 18 months.  PFA will last 4X longer and PTFE 10X longer than FEP.
