Non-Stick coatings are ideal for processes of any shape and size that are troubled with corrosion or adhesive buildup. Fluoron’s non-stick coatings are sprayed on in liquid form and then cured in place. To ensure proper coating adhesion to the surface, the equipment must be grit blasted to roughen it such that the coating can mechanically bond. Fluoron’s Fluor-XR and Fluor-X650 coating processes utilize an additional step of thermal spraying on a thin layer of tungsten carbide to provide porosity and a series of peaks and valleys on the process surface. In addition to providing excellent mechanical bond strength to the coating, the ultra-hard tungsten carbide “peaks” prevent the release coating from wearing down further over time and provide a long-lasting corrosion resistant non-stick coating.
